Tonight: very Isolated showers are still being experienced off in the eastern Colorado plains and in Las Animas County. Biggest concerns with these storms is the strong outflow wind gusts, reaching up to 50mph at times. These storms will gradually come to an end after 9pm. Partly cloudy skies in Colorado Springs overnight with temperature is down to 58° in El Paso County and 60 in Pueblo.
Tuesday: Plenty of morning sunshine with temperatures once again reaching 5 to 10° above average for mid-August. Highs to 90° in Colorado Springs and 94 in Pueblo. Increasing cloud coverage by early afternoon with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing after 2 PM. We can’t rule out a few strong to severe thunderstorms in eastern Colorado, again producing strong wind gusts and hail up to 1 inch in diameter. So make sure to stay weather aware for Tuesday afternoon.
Extended: Colorado will experience a slight drying trend through the mid-week forecast, with minimal precipitation chances Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures warming slightly during that time frame, with highs to 92° in Colorado Springs and closing in on triple digits eat in Pueblo.
