Severe weather update and Sunday forecast


Tonight: The line of severe thunderstorms that produced wind gusts to 60-70mph has moved east of I-25 and will remain in mostly rural areas through the evening. Burlington/Cheyenne Wells and far eastern Colorado will see the risk for severe thunderstorms diminish after approximately 9pm. Gradually turning mostly clear overnight in central/southern Colorado with temperatures to 51 degrees in Colorado Springs and 55 in Pueblo.

Sunday: plenty of sunshine through the day with no chance of precipitation. The winds will be the main weather story with gusts to 45mph for much of SE Colorado. Temperature also running in the 80s and 90s, making for critical fire weather. Fire Weather Warnings are in effect for much of the state through the afternoon and early evening.
