Mother’s Day Forecast
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a few isolated showers possible during the early evening in El Paso County, nothing severe, and the overall coverage of the precipitation will be very limited. The main weather story tonight is the cool temperatures. The national weather service issued a frost advisory for El Paso County till 8 am Sunday morning as temperatures will be near freezing. Any sensitive plants could die if left uncovered.
Mother’s Day: So expect a chilly start to the morning but plentiful sunshine will warm us up quickly to seasonally high temperatures. Into the high 60s in Colorado Springs and low 70s across HWY 50. Increasing cloud coverage and breezy winds will develop in the afternoon with again very spotty showers in central/southern Colorado.
Extended: Monday currently is looking like the best day for widespread rain and thunderstorm chances and Colorado needs it. Severe to extreme drought conditions are being experienced in southern Colorado. from my iPhone
