Near-record highs this week in southern Colorado

Tonight: Isolated showers likely along I-25/HWY 50 but the overall coverage and severity of the precipitation will be low. Gradually turning mostly clear with light winds, low temperatures staying in the mid 40s for most valley locations.

Monday: Plenty if sunshine during the morning hours helping temperatures into the high 70s in Colorado Springs and mid 80s in Pueblo. A few afternoon clouds will develop but precipitation is unlikely. Winds will also not be a problem, staying below 10mph for most of the day.

Extended: Unlike last week, high pressure will dominate Colorado’s weather pattern this week, keeping the precipitation chances to a minimum. Temperature ranging 10-20 degrees above average, making it feel much more like July, not April. The main concern will be the elevated fire weather, so stay tuned for any Fire Weather Warnings that might be posted. Next chance of legitimate precipitation is Saturday.
