Beautiful weekend ahead

VALENTINE'S EVENING: Pleasant night ahead with temps in the 30's and 40's until 10pm then after midnight, temps in the 20's for most areas with the mountains hovering the teens.

Those pleasant conditions will last through the weekend. Temperatures cooling slightly for Saturday afternoon as most of central/southern Colorado valley locations will stay in the 40s, but warming right back up for Sunday.

Forecasters are keeping a close eye on the start of next week. A cold front is projected to sweep through Colorado on Monday. Monday afternoon/evening snow showers will begin to develop with moderate to heavy snow possible overnight Monday. It's likely I-25 locations will see at least a few inches of accumulation during this snow event. Stay tuned for updates over the weekend, the closer we get to Monday the better feel we'll have for snowfall totals.
