WEATHER ALERT: Snow Showers For Some Tonight

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with temps in the teens and snow showers for the north and northeastern part of the county. For our immediate viewing area, Winter Weather Advisories start at 5pm in northern El Paso County and 6pm in the lower elevations of Douglas county. All forecasts are difficult in Colorado, but this one for tonight/tomorrow is particularly challenging. Thin, heavy snow bands will set up this evening with the potential to cause visibility issues and snow-covered roads. Exactly where these snow bands will organize is the unknown. Best bet is across the Palmer Divide and Monument Hill, precisely why the National Weather Service issued those advisories which are in effect through Friday evening.

EXTENDED: By Friday afternoon the snow showers will become light and gradually dissipate overnight. Turning into a beautiful Saturday with temperatures rebounding nicely, into the low 50s with plenty of sunshine.
