Christmas forecast!

Tonight: Turning mostly clear overnight in Colorado Springs with temperatures down to about 28 degrees with minimal precipitation chances. The best spot to see a flurry or two is in northern El Paso/Teller/Douglas counties with no accumulation and no impacts to road conditions. HWY 50 east of La Junta will see a few spotty rain showers slowly tapering off overnight, nothing severe.

Christmas: Mostly sunny skies through the day for the I-25 corridor with temperatures still running 5-10 degrees above average. Into the high 40s in Colorado Springs with SE Colorado hitting into the low 60s. Winter weather advisories in effect for western Colorado, traveling I-70 west of Glenwood Springs is where the winter driving conditions will start.

Extended: Friday afternoon into Saturday morning is our next chance for snowfall in the valleys. Exact timing and accumulation are still questionable, but southern Colorado will be favored to see the heaviest of snowfall with a few inches possible for that time period across HWY 50 and south of Colorado Springs.
