Calm weather before the weekend snow!

Tonight: Staying mostly clear this evening in central Colorado with temperatures dipping into the low 20s and teens for valley locations. No chance of precipitation overnight and light winds at 5-10mph.

Wednesday: Starting off the morning partly cloudy with increasing cloud coverage throughout the day. Not slowing down our temperatures though, still reaching 10-15 degrees above average for December. Highs to 50 degrees in El Paso County and into the mid-50s along HWY 50. Again staying dry.

Extended: Warm and sunny for Thursday and Friday, then the calm weather pattern finally takes a turn. Snow will begin in the high county Friday evening and make its way down to the I-25 corridor by Saturday. Snow flurries can be expected for a good portion of the day Saturday and into Sunday morning. Again, exact timing of the heavy snow is still in the works. But Sunday afternoon and evening look to be the time frame for the heaviest of snow for Colorado Springs. Stay tuned for an exact snow accumulation forecast once we get closer to this weekend.
