High winds and rain on the way!

Friday: A cold front will move through central Colorado during the early afternoon, bringing scattered showers to the I-25 corridor and snow to the higher elevations. Winter storm warnings are in effect across the Sangre's, HWY 160 will see heavy snow and strong winds making travel very difficult if not impossible by early evening. Winds will begin to increase in central/southern Colorado overnight into Saturday.

Saturday: A high wind watch is in effect for El Paso County through the day with the potential for gusts to reach 65mph. Light high profile vehicles will experience a blow over risk. Damage to trees and power lines also a possibility.

Extended: Finally entering into a calm weather pattern beginning Sunday with temperatures returning to seasonal averages, 40s and 50s and minimal precipitation chances through Wednesday.
