High Impact Snow Event Tonight 10-23-19

Wednesday overnight: heavy bands of snow continuing.

Snowfall totals so far:

3″ Briargate

4″ Peyton

5″ Black Forest

Heavy overnight snow is expected to begin in earnest between 9 p.m. and midnight. The heaviest bands will occur between midnight and 6 a.m. into Thursday.

Travel will be very hazardous at times overnight. Flash freezing will produce slick and icy roads, especially on bridges and mountain roads.

The worst driving conditions will be in the mountains and over Monument Hill.

Thursday morning: You’ll wake up to a winter wonderland.

Snow accumulation is forecasted to continue until 8 a.m. Bursts of non-accumulating snow showers are possible until noon.
