10/22/19 Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Remaining mostly clear through the evening forecast with light winds and temperatures down to 35 in Colorado Springs and 32 in Pueblo. No chance of any rain/snow tonight.

Wednesday: Starting off the day with partly sunny skies helping temperatures warm to about 57 degrees in Colorado Springs and 67 in Pueblo. Increasing cloud coverage by early afternoon as a strong cold front will be knocking on our doorstep by 6pm. Precipitation will initially start off as rain showers across the I-25 corridor then quickly change over to snow after 8pm as temperatures will plummet after the cold frontal passage.

Thursday: The biggest concerns will be for the morning commute as moderate to heavy snowfall will be possible until approximately 6am. Snow totals will be the heaviest above 7000ft. The projected snowfall totals are as follows, 4-8in Monument, 4-8in Woodland Park, 3-5in Colorado Springs, 3-6in Falcon, 3-5in Pueblo, 4-8in Canon City. Snow showers will taper off after 9am, gradually becoming partly cloudy during the afternoon.
