How does your experience make you qualified to represent the people?

I hold a bachelor's degree in Finance and a master's degree in Management with a concentration in Information Technology. As a school district administrator, I worked with budgets, capital projects, cash management, and the distribution of public funds. Combined with my commitment to financial accountability and public service, I believe that experience has prepared me to serve the citizens of Pueblo County as Treasurer.

What are your top policy priorities?

My top priority is safeguarding the financial interests of the citizens of Pueblo County. The Treasurer’s Office must ensure that taxpayer funds are secure, properly managed, and invested responsibly. I am committed to maintaining strong financial controls, protecting public resources, and providing efficient, transparent service to taxpayers while maximizing the value of county funds.

What is one issue you think is being overlooked in this race, and how would you address it?

One issue that many voters have raised with me is the outsourcing of certain Treasurer’s Office functions outside Pueblo County. Residents want to know whether services currently being performed elsewhere could be handled locally while maintaining security, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility. If elected, I would conduct a thorough review of these contracts and operations to determine whether Pueblo County taxpayers are receiving the best value and whether opportunities exist to keep more jobs and services here in our community.
