Reminder to lock vehicles issued after black bear found dead inside Colorado Springs car

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is reminding the community to keep vehicles locked and windows closed after a black bear was found dead inside a car.

According to CPW, a 250-pound bear entered an unlocked car and destroyed the vehicle, later dying inside.

CPW says the bear remained in the hot car for days before being discovered.
