Law enforcement searching for wanted suspect in Avondale; shelter-in-place lifted

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) confirms a large law enforcement presence in the 200 block of US Hwy 50 in Avondale as deputies search for a wanted suspect.

PCSO issued a shelter-in-place order around 11:50 a.m. for residents in the area due to the possibility that the suspect was armed. Law enforcment lifted the order at 4:30 p.m.

According to PCSO, law enforcement remains on scene as they conduct a search warrant at a home. PCSO also confirms that the suspect has yet to be located.
