Tracking hot weather and increasing rain chances this week

It's a warm one this Monday afternoon, with most areas seeing temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. We do have a Heat Advisory in effect for parts of El Paso and Fremont Counties until 8 p.m. It will be on the breezy side tonight with overnight lows in the lower 60s.

Our rain chances start to pick up on Tuesday with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will be slightly cool, generally in the lower 90s for most areas along the I-25 Corridor, and warmer weather out on the Eastern Plains.

Daily rain chances will stay with us Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with highs in the lower 90s. There is a chance for heavy rain and the possibility for Flash Flooding over the burn area.

Saturday and Sunday will also bring us a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with highs in the mid to upper 90s.
