Hot and dry conditions continue with showers and storms for the High Country

KRDO

Tonight we will see partly cloudy skies with breezy conditions for most of us along the I-25 Corridor. We do have a chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the evening in parts of the High Country. Overnight lows will fall into the low 60s.

Friday will bring us another hot and dry day. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms up in the mountains, mainly near the Continental Divide.

Temperatures will really warm up for the weekend with highs in the low to mid 90s on Saturday and Sunday for the Pikes Peak Region. Expect triple-digit heat for the Eastern Plains.

Rain chances start to move into Southern Colorado on Monday. It will be a hot start to the week, with temperatures in the mid-90s.

A better chance of monsoon moisture moves into the area on Tuesday and Wednesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. We will have to look at the possibility of Flash Flooding over the burn scar areas next week, as the potential exists for widespread heavy rain. Highs will hover in the lower 90s.
