UCCS police investigating ‘racially divisive’ stickers placed around campus
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Police say they are conducting an investigation after discovering several racially divisive stickers around the the University’s campus on Monday.
The stickers read ‘white guilt is child abuse' and ‘they hate you for being white’. They also possess the name ’Hundred-Handers’ — a white-nationalist organization originating from the United Kingdom.
UCCS spokesperson Chris Valentine says a handful of the stickers were placed on public property such as light posts and on buildings across the campus over the weekend. Whoever placed the stickers did not have University approval to do so.

“It took a little work to remove stickers from the light poles so we had to use the right equipment and chemicals to get the stickers off,” said Valentine.
Police do not have any suspects or persons-of-interest at this time.
According to the Telegram account for 'The Hundred-Handers', followers place pro-white, anti-immigrant, anti-diversity stickers in public spots across the United States and UK. 13 Investigates reached out to the group via email, but haven't received a response.
“It’s scary cause I am a minority,” said one student living on the UCCS campus that wished to remain anonymous out of fear for her own safety. “I am always on watch. I thought I was somewhere safe on this campus.”
“UCCS police is investigating the situation. They are taking a look at the organization on the stickers,” said Valentine. “They have spoken to other law enforcement organizations. They are doing their investigations and making sure everyone is safe and there aren’t any threats.”
Valentine told 13 Investigates suspects could be charged with criminal mischief should they be discovered. However, the spokesperson says the university welcomes free and open speech on campus when it is done in an appropriate manner.
