FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- Life Network, a local non-profit serving local families since 1983, announced that it will open the newest Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center location in Fountain Valley on Wednesday. This center will provide free pregnancy services such as pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STD testing, and parenting education to empower parents and families in our community.

Located at 97 Widefield Blvd (just off Highway 85 / 87), this center will further Life Network’s mission to serve moms, dads, and families in Colorado Springs, empowering them to make healthy choices for their pregnancy through free services and support. From initial free medical services to long-term parenting education and mentorship, the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center will walk with moms and dads from the moment of a positive pregnancy test through when their child turns two.

“We are delighted to expand our impact for Colorado Springs area families by opening this important third location in Fountain Valley,” said Rich Bennett, president of Life Network. “We know some of our clients currently drive from the Fountain area to our existing two centers. We look forward to better serving these parents and families – and serving even more women and men – in the future.”

With the opening of this new center, Life Network now operates three local pregnancy resource centers to empower women through education, pregnancy care, and free medical services. Through its parenting education programs, clients meet regularly with a parenting coach and earn “baby bucks.” These credits are then redeemed for new items such as a crib, car seat, stroller, and diapers, made possible by local donors.

Life Network also operates the Life Network Family Thrift Store at 5406 N Academy Blvd, providing quality affordable goods. The proceeds of this thrift store opened in October 2019, benefit Life Network’s family-focused mission.

This center will open for appointments starting Tuesday, June 22. Hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday; and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
