Woman facing assault charges for kicking police officer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- On Friday morning, around 9:45 a.m., Colorado Springs Police Officers responded to a domestic disturbance near N. Foote Avenue and Dale Street, just south of the Patty Jewett Golf Course in Colorado Springs.

A woman called the police officers, but after an investigation, she was later taken into custody. Officers transported her to a nearby hospital for medical clearance. While at the hospital, she kicked one of the uniformed officers.

CSPD adds, "The suspect received medical clearance, was transported and booked into CJC related to the earlier domestic assault and assault on the officer." The officer continued working and did not require medical attention.
