Firefighters extinguish house fire in west Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Firefighters with the Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to a blaze that broke out in a westside home Thursday afternoon.

The fire happened in the 2700 block of W. Platte Ave., according to CSFD. Within about an hour, crews were able to extinguish the flames.

Photos obtained by KRDO show significant smoke damage to the home, though it's not clear how much of the structure was affected by the fire.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
