No one hurt in early morning Fountain house fire

No one was hurt after a fire broke out at a Fountain home early Friday morning.

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) - No one was hurt after a house fire broke out early Friday morning in Fountain.

Security Fire Department crews went to the 400 block of Harvard Street for reports of the fire around 3:30 a.m. Friday. When they got there, crews found the fire coming from the back of the home. the home quickly became fully involved.

When firefighters found that everyone got out of the home safely, they took a defensive approach to fighting the fire, knowing the home was destroyed. It took roughly 20 minutes to contain the fire before crews moved onto the hotspots.

Fire crews said homes on both sides of the fire were minorly damaged, but will still be livable.

Security fire called in mutual aid from Hanover, Fountain and Stratmore Hills. About 30 firefighters responded to help put out the fire.

Crews said once the hotspots are out, an investigation into the cause of the fire will begin.
