COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A recent survey from Lending Tree shows 19% of shoppers wait until the last minute to buy their Christmas gifts.

Last-minute shoppers are expected to spend anywhere between $100 and $300 on average between December 23rd and 24th.

Christmas Eve is historically the busiest shopping day of the month.

Survey data shows that last year, there was a 194% increase in shoppers on Christmas Eve; but unlike any year before, experts say the longest lines at stores will be at their curbside pick-up.

Online shopping has also boomed amid the pandemic. Amazon alone is expected to deliver millions of packages to its Prime members on Christmas Eve alone.

If you're wondering where to pick up some last-minute gifts, experts say in 2019, most Christmas Eve shoppers spent their money at outlet and jewelry stores.
