PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says a 30-year-old man from Texas has been arrested for murder after a fatal shooting Wednesday night at a campground.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. at the KOA Campground just north of Purcell Boulevard along Interstate 25. Deputies arrived and found a man lying on the ground outside of an open vehicle, and they discovered the man had been shot in the head.

According to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, deputies found another man in a field nearby and took him into custody for second-degree murder. The suspect was identified as Evan Gaw.

Deputies haven't identified the victim yet, but they said he was also a 30-year-old man from Texas who had rented a camping spot with Gaw for the night.

We're working on getting more information about what led to the shooting.
