EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A 33-year-old man was killed late Saturday night in a one-car crash on I-25 near the Pikes Peak International Raceway (exit 122).

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the driver of a 2019 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound on the interstate when the car suddenly went off the road and went airborne, crashing into a concrete overpass.

No other cars were involved and the driver was the only occupant in the car at the time of the crash. According to State Troopers, he was not wearing a seatbelt, causing him to be ejected upon impact.

The cash is still under investigation, but investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash.
