Fremont County reports first COVID-19 death since pandemic
Cañon City, Colo. (KRDO) -- Nearly six months into the pandemic, Fremont County reports it's first COVID-19 death.
Fremont County Department of Public Health & Environment (FCDPHE) announced the death on its Facebook page Wednesday evening.
No further details were released, however, FCDPHE intends to share more information in a press release Thursday.
As of Wednesday, September 9th, Fremont County has 164 total cases (148 positive cases, 16 probable cases), 1,441 negative tests, and 24 pending labs, and 10 total hospitalizations.
In total, Colorado has reported 1,882 deaths due to COVID-19.
From a reliable news station it was an 81 year old female with underlying conditions.
