Snow knocks out power for thousands across southern Colorado

PUEBLO WEST, Colo. (KRDO) -- The heavy, wet snow that fell across Tuesday into Wednesday has caused power outages for customers across a large stretch of southern Colorado.

San Isabel Electric Association says about 1,880 meters in southern Colorado were affected as of Wednesday morning, but crews were being dispatched throughout the day. That number is expected to increase until the snow melts, San Isabel Electirc says.

You can keep track of outages on SIEA's map here.

In Colorado Springs and Pueblo, few power outages were reported.
