20-year-old killed in crash south of Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A 20-year-old man is dead after crashing an SUV early Monday morning on a highway going south from Colorado Springs.

The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. and caused both southbound lanes of Interstate 25 to be closed near S. Academy Boulevard.

Colorado State Patrol says the driver was the only one involved in the crash and died at the scene of the crash. He didn't have a driver license, CSP said.

The driver hasn't been identified yet.

Interstate 25 reopened at about 10 a.m.
