Crews called to apartment fire on east side of Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Fire Department was called to a working apartment fire Wednesday afternoon east of the downtown area.
Just before 5:30 p.m., CSFD said smoke and fire was billowing from the second floor of a unit at Stratus Apartments in the 470 block of S. Murray Boulevard.
A few minutes later, CSFD said crews got the blaze under control.
The two occupants, plus one dog and one cat, were safely evacuated, said CSFD.
