COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Fort Carson confirmed that the two men killed in a crash last week on S. Academy Boulevard were soldiers stationed at the post.

According to Colorado Springs Police, the men inside a Ford sedan that ran a red light and collided into a semi-trailer last Thursday were identified as 19-year-old Matthew K. Guyon and 21-year-old Quentin L. Jones. Police didn't say which of the men was driving the car.

Police say the two were going at a "high rate of speed" on S. Academy through the intersection at E. Fountain Boulevard, and the semi-trailer had a green light.

No charges have been filed.
