Army Special Ops Aviation to conduct noise-generating training Monday through May 14

FORT CARSON, Colo. (KRDO) -- If you hear some loud noise along the Front Range in the coming weeks, say Fort Carson officials, there's no need to be alarmed. It's related to a training exercise with the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command.

The training is set to start Monday and will continue until May 14.

"The training is necessary to qualify rated student pilots and non-rated crew members in multi-mode radar, mountain and desert environments, so the unit is prepared for any potential mission they may be called upon to support around the globe," said Fort Carson officials in a prepared statement.

Noise complaints should be directed to the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at (719) 526-9849.
