Driver arrested on suspicion of DUI after hitting a man as he walked out of a store

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A driver is in custody on suspicion of DUI after hitting a pedestrian Saturday night in Pueblo. The driver wasn't able to flee because his car had gotten stuck on a concrete stoop.

This happened just before 11 p.m. as officers responded to a call of an "unwanted party" at a 7-11. At the scene, police found a man who'd gotten hit by a car as he was walking out of the store.

They arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI and Vehicular Assault, said Pueblo PD.

Fortunately, the victim who was hit escaped serious injury.
