Woman coughs at Pueblo Police officers saying “now you have the virus!”

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- While responding to a disturbance call early Saturday, officers with Pueblo PD encountered a rather uncooperative party. A woman kept coughing towards police and firefighters on scene, saying, "Now you have the virus!"

The unusual scene played out around 3:45 a.m. in the area of 11th and Kingston, according to Capt. Tom Rummel with Pueblo PD. Officers found an SUV was in the middle of the street with a female sitting on ground and a male standing over her screaming at her.

The woman had a head injury and blood on her face. Both were uncooperative and cursing at the officers, with the woman coughing at the first responders while saying, "Now you have the virus!" according to police.

Both parties told police they had gotten "jumped" which was how the female got injured.

Pueblo PD say the man was then arrested because he has a restraining order against him in which the female on scene is the protected party. Police didn't say if the woman was cited.
