EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Fire crews from multiple agencies were called to battle a grass fire near Cheyenne Mountain State Park Wednesday evening, and the fire was still burning as of Thursday morning.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department tells us that at 9:30 p.m. the fire was about 15 acres. It took some time for crews to gain access to the fire, which they did around 10:30 p.m. By then the blaze had grown to 18 acres, said CSFD in an update.

The fire is on county land in the area of Norad Road and west of Highway 115. Both county and city crews responded.

There are no structures threatened nor injuries reported, said CSFD.
