Canon City police looking for child sex assault suspect

CANON CITY, Colo. -- Police in Canon City got an alert about a middle school student having a sexual relationship with an adult, and now officers are looking for the suspect.

The tip came through Safe2Tell, according to the Canon City Police Department. Detectives followed up and interviewed the suspect, 19-year-old Connor McCain.

Police said they got enough evidence to get an arrest warrant for sexual assault on a child against McCain.

McCain wasn't immediately arrested, and now that police have a warrant, they need help finding him. If you have information, call 719-276-5600.
