Suspect arrested after reported sexual assaults at The Classical Academy

Colorado Springs police say a 22-year-old man has been arrested after a sexual assault that happened several years ago at The Classical Academy, and investigators believe there may be more victims.

CSPD said Friday that 22-year-old Jason Emanuelson was arrested Tuesday on two counts of sexual assault and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center. He has since been released on bond.

According to CSPD, the investigation started in late October 2019, when a report was made that a student at TCA may have sexually assaulted another student while on property. The alleged assault happened during the 2015-2016 school year.

Detectives say they were able to identify more victims and got evidence leading to Emanuelson's arrest for the sexual assaults. CSPD says he was a senior at TCA during the 2015-2016 school year.
