Car plows into Castle Pines house near homeowner on couch
A homeowner in Castle Pines narrowly escaped being hit by a car while she was sitting on her living room couch Tuesday evening.
South Metro Fire Rescue posted pictures of the sedan sitting in the living room like it was a haphazardly converted garage. The crash happened at a home on Middleham Place.
According to SMFR, the driver went off the road and drove across a golf course behind the home before crashing through the backyard fence and into the house.
SMFR says the homeowner was "sitting on the couch just a few feet away with her dogs."
The homeowner wasn't injured, but the driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. At this point, it's not clear if the driver will be cited.
