Driver processed for DUI after taking out a light pole

Pueblo Police Department

PUEBLO, Colo. -- Pueblo police investigated a hit and run Sunday morning after a driver took out a street light and downed a power line.

Police say they knew what make of car they were looking for because a piece of the vehicle's grill -- which read "Nissan" -- had fallen off.

Officers followed the vehicle's fluid trail and were able to locate it a few blocks away.

The vehicle had sustained substantial damage to the front end.

The driver of the vehicle was taken in to custody and is currently being processed for driving under the influence, police say.
