Optum Colorado Springs offering ‘Mammo Mondays’ in October
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Every Monday in October, Optum Colorado Springs is offering extended mammography hours and discounts.
The healthcare facility is referring to these extended hours as "Mammo Mondays" to help people gain access to healthcare.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), early detection can improve the health of people with cancer and reduce healthcare costs associated with the disease.
During Mammo Mondays, Optum's Medical Center Point Mammography will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The self-pay discounts are:
- $80 2D mammograms
- $119 3D mammograms
That includes radiology interpretation but doesn't apply to referral-based diagnostic mammograms.
