Gnomes helping Fremont County businesses, brightening spirits
FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) - Businesses around Fremont County are sporting gnomes in their windows and on their shelves, all for the "Gnomadic Adventure" game.

Pamela Simmons is the co-owner of the Kaleidoscope Inspiration shop in Canon City. Simmons wanted to get people out of the house and supporting local businesses and so began the Gnomadic Adventure.
"We have 41 businesses that have an active gnome," Simmons said.
Fremont 360 and Small Business Strong Canon City are also helping to get the word out and connect the community to small businesses.
Here's how to join in on the fun:
- Download the Goose Chase App
- Enter Game Code: X3XJGM
- Find the gnomes and snap a selfie
For every gnome selfie you take, you are entered into a drawing.

There are worksheets available for those that want to participant but don't have a smart phone.
Local businesses have made the game and prizes possible.
"[Businesses] that have an official gnome are called "gnomies," businesses that are contributing that don't have a gnome are called "gnomeless," Simmons said.
The Gnomadic Adventure ends on March 20.
