Motorcyclist dies in crash along Hwy 24 near Peyton
Just as emergency responders were wrapping up a fatal crash investigation along I-25 near Fountain on Friday evening, another one occurred along Highway 24.
It happened around 6:30pm about halfway between Peyton and Calhan.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, three vehicles were involved including a motorcycle.
Firefighters arrived to find one of the vehicles entirely on fire at the intersection.
The motorcyclist died at the scene, and at least one other person was rushed to the hospital.
It's unclear who is at fault for the collision.
The intersection of Highway 24 and Ellicott Highway is expected to be closed for an extended period.
