EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Surveillance video shows a group of suspected burglars canvassing a neighborhood in Security-Widefield earlier this week.

Vinessa Lopez, a resident of the Painted Sky at Waterview neighborhood said she heard her neighbor's car alarm go off just after 2 a.m. Tuesday, but when she looked outside, the streets were empty.

When she woke up the following day, she found her home surveillance camera captured video of three burglars driving along Spokane Drive.

It appears there are two suspected walking on either side of the street, checking door handles, while another suspect is driving down the middle of the street with his passenger doors open.

Vinessa Lopez says, "they had a purpose. They had a plan. They knew what they were going to do."

More concerning, one of the suspects appears to have a gun in his hand.

"The gentleman was walking up to the truck right here. I could see something strapped to him and it looked like a weapon," Lopez explained.

A couple blocks over on Dancing Star Way says she might have caught the same group of suspects on her surveillance camera.

At 1:07 a.m. on May 15th, a young man is seen walking onto her driveway before walking away. At 1:09 a.m., he comes back with another suspect, but they quickly run away

Another neighbor on San Amels Way captured another vehicle, with it's doors open driving down her street, with two suspects walking alongside the vehicle, checking car doors.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says they have obtained the surveillance video from Lopez and are investigating the case and its' relation to similar reports in the area.

If you have any information on the suspects, call the Patrol Tip Line at (719) 520-7777 and reference Case # 20-92003.
