Naked man allegedly broke into local business after smashing front door

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says it has arrested one person after he allegedly smashed a door to a local business and went inside.

According to CSPD, officers responded to the call around 7:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Northpark Drive. Purple Mountain Recovery, a local business, confirmed to KRDO13 that the front door of their headquarters had been broken during the incident.

The reporting party says they saw a man with no clothes smash the door to a business and go inside. CSPD says the man wasn't seen leaving, and officers created a perimeter.

CSPD says a drone was used to clear most of the inside of the building, and when the man did not come out after several announcements, a K9 was sent in to find him.

CSPD says the man was then taken into custody and transported to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

Purple Moutain Recovery says they are currently closed because of the incident, but hopes to be open again tomorrow.
