One person arrested after alleged bank robbery at a Colorado Springs bank, suspect in second robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says it has one person in custody after an alleged bank robbery at the Norwood branch of Chase Bank.

According to CSPD, the alleged robbery took place around 5:30 p.m. on October 5. Officers were sent to the 7300 block of Duryea Drive for a bank robbery in process, and when they arrived learned a man had left on foot into a neighborhood, CSPD says.

Officers say they found a man matching the description near the intersection of Prairie Wind Drive and Range Ranch Drive. They say he was later identified as the suspect from the robbery, and CSPD's Metro Robbery Unit and other detectives were able to take him into custody.

CSPD says the man, identified as Logan Elmore, was also the suspect in a bank robbery on October 2 in the 1100 block of North Circle Drive. He is now being charged with aggravated robbery for both cases.

A Chase Bank ATM user said the robbery seemed "out of place." Video obtained by KRDO13 showed crime scene tape up around the branch, but no cars outside.
