Man arrested after reported restraining order violation in Security-Widefield

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A 38-year-old man was arrested after deputies responded to a reported restraining order violation in the Security-Widefield area of El Paso County.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the 4600 block of Cold Harbor View around 7:23 p.m. on Sept. 23 after receiving a report of the violation and a possible need for medical assistance.

EPSO says that when deputies arrived, they found a woman inside the home with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Juvario Holt, was also inside, law enforcement says.

According to the sheriff's office, Holt refused to follow commands to leave the home. Deputies say they entered the residence and took him into custody without incident.

Holt was charged with the following:

• Fugitive from justice
• Failure to register as a sex offender
• Violation of a restraining order
• Driving under the influence (failure to comply)
• Third-degree assault
• Harassment
