Alamosa police organize arrest of 13 individuals involved in alleged drug organization in San Luis Valley

ALAMOSA, Colo. (KRDO) -- The City of Alamosa has announced the arrests of 13 people with an alleged connection to a drug organization.

According to officials, the Alamosa Police Department (APD), along with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) worked on a cross-jurisdictional drug organization investigation. They say it involved people from several counties, including the Alamosa, Sanford, Antonito and Bountiful areas. APD says the organization was "plaguing the San Luis Valley with illicit narcotics."

APD says it worked with CBI, the Drug Enforcement Agency, U.S. Marshals Service, Alamosa County Sheriff's Office, Conejos County Sheriff's Office, Colorado State Patrol, Alamosa EMS, Colorado National Guard Joint Counter Drug Task Force, the Colorado State Patrol Dispatch Center and Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on conducting 10 residential search warrants across several areas.
