CSPD asking for help locating burglary suspect, seeking additional victims and witnesses

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is asking for help finding a suspect in a recent burglary on the Colorado College campus.

CSPD says that on September 1, they were notified of the burglary. An officer conducted an investigation and identified Jesse Lupo, a registered sex offender, as the suspect. On September 14, CSPD was notified that Lupo had gained access to another building on the Colorado College Campus.

CSPD says detectives with its Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Unit and Registered Sex Offender Unit took over the investigation at that point. Detectives developed probable cause and issued an arrest warrant for Lupo, but have yet to locate him.

CSPD also says that, based on the investigation, they have reason to believe there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not contacted law enforcement. CSPD is asking anyone with information to contact CSPD at 719-444-7000.
