PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man who had a warrant out for his arrest is now facing additional charges after law enforcement says they found him with illegal drugs and stolen items.

According to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO), detectives worked with the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force to arrest 35-year-old Rodrigo Ruiz earlier Wednesday.

PCSO says Ruiz was at a home in the 1600 block of Anthalie Street and was wanted for second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and felony menacing. Detectives say they contacted Ruiz and found him wearing stolen body armor. They later found a stolen Suzuki motorcycle, stolen handgun, and two grams each of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
