Two arrested after Pueblo police observe alleged drug transactions

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Two people were arrested on drug charges after the Pueblo Police Department (PPD) observed alleged drug transactions in the same area on consecutive days, police said.

On Aug. 17, at about 12:05 p.m., PPD'S Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) saw several suspected drug transactions in the 700 block of West Northern Avenue.

Officers arrested 36-year-old Shelby Violante, who police said was seen making the transactions. Violante was charged on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Police said officers seized $137, 36 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 2.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 22.6 grams of suspected fentanyl.

The following day, Aug. 18, at about 11:05 a.m., police say RTCC again saw several suspected drug transactions in the 700 block of West Northern Avenue.

Officers arrested 24-year-old Gabrielle Page, who police said was seen making the transactions.

Page was arrested on suspicion of felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police said 15.7 grams of suspected fentanyl were seized.

According to police, the department's RTCC technology directly assisted officers in both arrests and the seizure of suspected drugs.
