Road rage incident at Chapel Hills Mall leads to arrest and alleged assault on an officer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police have arrested a 28-year-old woman after she alledgly broke an individual's passenger-side car window during a road rage incident and then assaulted a police officer.

According to police, around 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 15, CSPD responded to a disturbance at the Chapel Hills Mall parking lot for a road rage incident between two vehicles. Police say that during the argument, Amber Acree alledgly broke the other party's passenger window.

When officers tried to separate those involved, Acree allegedly assaulted an officer, says CSPD.

Police confirm that Acree's two-year-old child was in the back of her car during the disturbance and was later put in the care of a family member.

CSPD believes alcohol was a factor in the incident.
