Woman arrested for DUI, vehicular homicide after fatal accident

Pueblo Police Department

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman has been arrested over a month after an accident killed one person and left another injured.

33-year-old Taryn King was arrested on July 16 on charges relating to an accident in May of this year, according to officials.

PPD says officers responded to a call around 10 p.m. on May 23 about a traffic accident near Abriendo Avenue and Quincy Street. Officers say they found a Chevy Blazer that had rolled over, with one person ejected. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second person was trapped inside the car and later transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) says King is being charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, reckless driving, failing to stop at a red light and no insurance.
